Celebrating the Launch of enke: CPI

Celebrating the Launch of enke: Community Partners Initiative (CPI)

At the end of 2020, we made a commitment to scale our impact through a social franchising model, and designed the enke: Community Partners Initiative (CPI). In August we launched recruitment for enke: Community Partners Initiative, receiving 25 applications for the 8 spaces in the pilot of the enke: CPI. We finally selected 10 organisations – 5 in Gauteng and 5 in Northern Cape – to be part of this initiative, through which we hope to build the capacity of organizations to become implementing partners directly implementing enke programs.

The launch, held on 1-2 October, was an introduction to the enke: CPI Program to our 10 new partners, and the first in a series of organizational strengthening workshops. At the launch, the partners engaged in a couple of team building activities, discussed their vision, goals, concerns, and expectations about the enke: CPI.

The 2nd day of the session, officially kick start the organisational strengthening course, which is designed to share information and resources to develop and implement the partner’s internal organizational operations and systems.

Under this course, there are a total of five modules that will cover the basics in strategy, operations, fundraising, and impact management. Workshops or training sessions will cover the theory part for this course and then the partners will have the opportunity to apply whatever they have learned practically to their organization and uncover more of their work online. Training Topics include:

  • Structure of your Entity: Formal Registration and Options
  • Impact Measurement and Management (IMM)
  • Organization Operations: Resourcing Your Organisation
  • enke Programs in a Box: Delivery & Measurement
  • enke Programs in a Box: Facilitation

Workshops will be held both virtually and face-to-face depending on the type of work that needs to be done and considering the covid-19 regulations. Delivery will be in the form of workshops that include facilitator presentations, readings, individual activities, group discussions, and skill application exercises. More information and dates for the upcoming workshops will be provided soon.

We are very excited about this new initiative.
