#2022YouthMonth Campaign – We are an Equipped and Inspired Youth!
For June 2022, Youth Month, we hosted an Instagram live series conversing with the most exciting and ambitious young people of enke.
These 30mins sessions took place every Wednesday at 19:00 anchored by our Business Development officer, Nontuli Moalusi. The live series hosted some young and cool employees of enke, as well as some of our program alumni who are doing amazing things in their lives and communities since being part of the various enke programs.
Kicking off the show, we had our former Programs Manager: Post-School Initiatives, Prudence Erens, who touched on her journey at enke and we reflected on what it means to be the Youth of SA and how we are taking our futures into our own hands, particularly in job creation and economic development. Prudence put across a compelling argument on how the Youth of SA ought to take their futures into their own hands. Watch a snippet of the conversation on our Instagram page @enkeMYM and leave a comment for us😊.
We spoke to Ngata Holele, former Programs Manager: Training & Engagement, and she unpacked about some of the content covered in the programs, as well as what it’s like to be an enke facilitator and changing the lives of the Youth in SA.
Once you are trained by enke facilitators, you are bound to go out there and make your mark, as we aim to ignite already existing talent, skills and courage to do great things. We were joined by 2 amazing alumni, Kulani Maluleke who is an entrepreneur and co-founder of a delivery company called Deliv-a-ring. The delivery company is located in the Westrand Township called Kagiso, Deliv-a-ring is a one stop delivery solution that ensures customers receive their food at their doorstep. Kulani was nominated for the 4th Annual SA Heroes Awards in the category of Business Empowerment.
We also hosted Tshepo Sechele who is the founder of a training and facilitation company founded in 2021. We heard their amazing stories and how they chose to champion their lives and make their mark. We are very excited to see their businesses growing and them thriving in their respective industries.
We are very proud of Kulani Maluleke, Tshepo Sechele and every other enke Alumni making their Mark!
