Celebrating Community Partners Creating a Socially and Economically Inclusive Society

We held our first Community Partners Initiative celebration event in March 31, 2023, the enke offices buzzed with excitement as representatives from eight partner organizations: Bhuko Bami & Westrand Youth Development Centre, who implemented the enke Trailblazer+ program, as well as Phronesis & Get Informed who implemented the enke Catalyst Program. The event was a platform to reflect on the progress made, acknowledge achievements, discuss challenges, and explore future possibilities.

The event began with a moment of reflection, where both enke and partner organizations shared their experiences and learnings from the journey. It was an opportunity to appreciate the collective effort put into implementing enke’s youth development program models in their respective communities. The organizations expressed their commitment to continue their partnership with enke, recognizing the value and impact of the collaboration.

The key achievements we discussed were certainly interesting as the partners shared their achievements. Together, they had managed to reach over 120 young participants, exceeding expectations despite the challenges they faced. The enke: CPI had not only enabled them to implement enke programs but also inspired the introduction of new programs that enriched their organizations and communities. This collective success showcased the value and transformative potential of the CPI partnership.

The celebration event served as a stepping stone towards building a brighter future for young people. The achievements and experiences shared during the event highlighted the power of youth development and social entrepreneurship in addressing the issues of youth unemployment and disengagement from education. By working together and leveraging enke’s proven methodologies, the partner organizations were paving the way for a more positive future for the youth they served.

As the event concluded, the air was filled with optimism and determination. The enke: CPI partners recognized that their journey had just begun and that there was much more work to be done. They expressed their eagerness to continue the implementation of enke’s programs and deepen their partnership with enke: Make Your Mark. Together, they were committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of young people, equipping them with the skills and mindset needed to succeed in the workplace and in education.

The enke: Community Partners Initiative showcased the power of collaboration and the potential for transformative change in youth development. The partners were indeed paving the way for a society that is more socially and economically inclusive. Through enke: CPI, the partners are truly making their mark and empowering the youth to thrive.
