enke Golf Day: An Ace For 2022
This October 2022, we hosted our inaugural enke: Golf Day, which was a hole-in-one! The goal of our first fundraising event was to create awareness of enke’s work and build more support to advance our work to assist individuals in developing their full potential to make a positive contribution to society.
Our golfers were resplendent in their red, white and black enke-themed golfing gear to support the event. All players brought a high level of energy and confidence, making their mark on the fairways and greens of the beautiful Killarney Country Club, home of the prestigious Sunshine Tour.
We coordinated different activities throughout the day, from having a raffle, a pledging session and prize giving to our Top 3 teams. The main sponsor of the raffle was enke Alum Sinekhaya Manciya, who provided a custom timepiece from his enterprise, Snezar Timepiece. In addition, another enke facilitator Sello Mmane sponsored a custom-made tray as a prize for the golfer.
As enke, we remain passionate about our goal of supporting leadership development for the youth. We appreciated the support and turnout by all partners, stakeholders and alums who participated on the day. This event built new bridges for our future golf days and outreach programmes with the individuals and companies who have become our partners going forward.
We are excited to have raised almost R50,000 in this first event and look forward to build on this success for future events. The funds raised from the enke Golf Day will go towards our work to expand our programs to reach and positively impact more youth.
We appreciate the support and partnership of all our stakeholders to advance our work with individuals to develop to their full potential so that they make a positive contribution to society.
