Reflecting on a Year of Youth-Led Impact: Our FY2024–25 Impact Report
At enke: Make Your Mark, we believe young people are already shaping the future, not someday, but now.
Our FY2024–25 Impact Report is a reflection of what becomes possible when young people are supported to lead with confidence, creativity, and purpose. Across this year, young people in the enke community continued to build initiatives, strengthen relationships, respond to challenges in their communities, and create spaces for connection, learning, and meaningful change.
This report captures more than milestones and numbers. It tells a story of growth, resilience, collaboration, and the everyday leadership shown by young people across our programmes and network.
Throughout the year, we witnessed young people:
- Leading community-based initiatives and projects
- Strengthening their self-belief and leadership capacity
- Collaborating across difference and building supportive communities
- Exploring innovative solutions to challenges affecting their lives and communities
- Continuing to show that young people are active contributors to positive change
As an organisation, this year also invited reflection and transition. We continued to evolve our work while remaining grounded in our purpose: for all young people to have the self-belief, freedom, and ability to create a positive future for and with each other.
None of this work happens in isolation.
We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters, including E Squared Investments, Medicor Foundation, Ponahalo De Beers Community Development Trust, and Amandla Omoya Trust, whose belief in young people continues to make this work possible.
We also thank the young people, alumni, facilitators, schools, collaborators, and wider enke community who continue to shape and strengthen this journey.
This report is an invitation to reflect with us on the possibilities that emerge when young people are trusted, invested in, and given space to thrive.
